      Back to SESAA Home

It is with great pleasure and pride that I am here again to celebrate with you Fiesta 2005 at Terra Bella. I would like to greet the San Esteban Circle for celebrating a milestone that is their 50th or golden anniversary. The members of the circle were the pioneer San Estebanians who first set foot in America and now our community has grown by leaps and bounds. Thank you to the oldtimers for keeping us united as we continue to be responsible persons in our repective places abroad.

I would like to thank the San Esteban Circle for giving a helping hand to our beloved town of San Esteban. I salute you for your positive response to whatever endeavor we request from you. Likewise, I would like to make mention of the other associations that have equally helped in development programs back home in San Esteban. The San Esteban Schools Alumni Association, whose main objective is youth development, has proven their worth by giving regular contributions to the Municipal Scholarship Fund that sends five poor but deserving students to continue college education. Also they give incentives to honor students in six schools in San Esteban during their graduation rites.

The San Estebanians of North California and the San Estebanians of Washington have likewise given their share to the scholarship program. I hope that they will maintain their regular contributions. The San Esteban Aloha Mission, who frequently do medical missions, is now in the midst of raising funds to build and equip a two storey municipal health center extension that will hopefully be operational at the end of the year.

The last but not the least is the recently emerged San Esteban Website that has kept us well informed on what is happening back home and elsewhere abroad. The website has binded us together as one community. We, your local officials are doing our job in leading our town to progress. Projects that started last year and are targeted for completion are the municipal building, the public market, the solid waste management program and the public cemetery expansion. If only we could get our acts together and play lesser politics, then our path to a truly peaceful and developed municipality is not far behind.

Again, my family and I wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude for
