Distinguished guests, beloved visitors, relatives and friends; I thank you for coming tonight to our annual homecoming celebration of SESAA and San Esteban Circle of Terra Bella.
I’d like to congratulate Mr. Rudy Europa, our outgoing President and the other outgoing officers who led this organization for the past four (4) years for a job well done. It wasn’t easy for him and for all of us and I’m sure it won’t be easy for me and the newly elected officers also. But with your dedication, commitment and cooperation, I expect that everyone will support each other. After all, this is your organization. As John Kennedy once said “ Ask not what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country.” Let us do everything together so that whatever difficulties we are to face, we will be strong and ready. God has given talents to all of us. Let’s share each and everyone’s talent for this organization. I know you have great ideas, plans and goals for the association. Let us hear and discuss them among ourselves so that every member draw benefit from our organization. I will welcome your suggestions as well as your constructive criticisms because only in constructive criticism can we improve ourselves in relation with one another and in reaching our goals.
I also invite all of you to stand firm in our faith that we can succeed with our God in rendering the noble objectives of our organization to the greater number of people who need them most, the youth of our community here in the US and in our hometown San Esteban. Our God will always be with us and he will bring about good results. Let us accept opportunities with enthusiasm knowing that the wisdom of God prepares us for success. Let’s meet every challenge with faith. Let’s offer each other word of support, a reassuring smile or an offer of help completing the cycle of giving and receiving. Let’s turn to Him for his love, for guidance in every step we undertake. I am confident to try new experiences with a joyous anticipation for good outcomes. Agreeing to work together in one accord alleviates stress or strain. It brings out greater understanding that may have been dormant yesterday. So let’s envision a better future and a better organization. Let’s also keep a daily prayer for peace not only in our families but also in our communities and most especially our country. We should not let fear intimidate us. Let us all pray that God will bring us back the most needed peace and safety in America. Enjoy the evening and thank you.
