Good evening everyone. I’m so delighted to see you all. We have a fabulous night ahead of us. We’re elated to see more San Estebanians joining and taking active participation in achieving the goals that we commit to bring for the well-being of our community. Thank you all for your presence tonight.
Benjamin Franklin, one of the founders of our nation’s constitution once said: “Education pays the best interest.” Today, three hundred years later, this fact still holds true. To all the youngsters present tonight, I stress strongly to focus on tonight’s theme: “Learn more, do more, be more.” These are six simple words but their meaning is profound. Grasp them, follow them. I hope the slogan will serve as a guide and inspiration to you all.
Ten students will be receiving incentive awards tonight. Over the years, as chairperson of the Scholarship and Incentive Committee, I have always emphasized that our criteria are three-fold – academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. A small organization such as ours, we believe that following the norm of other bigger organizations and corporations in granting scholarships, we are providing you a breaking ground. Your success is SESAA’s success.
One student demonstrated a great potential and we have selected him to be the leader of the group. From the academic and business community, he received several recognition and subsequent awards. Please give Wilbur Guzman a round of applause.
