Article from the Fil-Am Courier – March 16-31, 2007

The SEAM Team 2006 recently returned from their three-day fourth successful mission to the Philippines.  Volunteers from New York, Michigan, California, Hawaii and the local medical support personnel treated nearly 2,000 sick indigent residents of the town. As well as some from the neighboring town of Santiago and Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur with various medical problems; i,e., acute respiratory problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, skin diseases and etc.  Aside from the usual medical treatments and medications being given free, the Team also gave away significant amount of cash as Christmas presents to the very needy residents.  A re-dedication of the SEAM clinic that was built in December, 2005 was performed with SEAM President Dr. Ben Galindo cutting the ribbon and his wife Adelle Galindo assisting in  unveiling the plaque of  2006 Donors.   The TEAM also visited and donated boxes of medications to Gabriela Silang Hospital in Vigan and newly built City of Candon Hospital.  The next fifth mission is tentatively set for next year.
