A month after the late SBM Sulpicio A. Mendoza passed away, the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) endorsed a resolution to fill up the vacancy at the municipal board. The local executive body unanimously approved that SBM Mendoza’s daughter to be the instantaneous replacement until such time that a new set of Sangguniang Bayan Members (SBM) will be elected on May 10, 2004.
Newly installed SBM Maria Theresa G. Mendoza is the third child of the late Mg. Sol and the former Rosalinda Galang of Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija. Although a Nursing graduate from Galang Medical Center Colleges in Manila, she promised that she would do her very best to cope up with visions of her late father for the good of our townspeople. Before her selection as the new SBM, she used to work as nurse at the Central Ilocos Sur District Hospital in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. Her appointment as the new SBM of our town started last January 16, 2004 until June 30, 2004. Her first session with the legislative body was last Monday, January 19, 2004.
