Alfred Vince D. Bernardino was officially declared as the first-born baby for the year 2004 in our town according to the records obtained at our Municipal Registrars Office. Baby Boy Alfred was born on January 3, 2004 in barangay San Rafael. His parents are Menard Palomo Bernardino and Elvira Pataray Dolor and both are now residing in the same barangay at the residence of Mrs. Veronica Palomo Cabalo, a school teacher from Ansad Elementary School.
Rural Health Unit Sanitary Inspector Julieta Ordoñez Gacuan administered the birth of the first born at the Cabalo residence in barangay San Rafael. With this, the said 1st born baby recently received a $50 cash gift donated by William and Poly Esperanza of California, USA. This is the so called New Year’s “pakulo” of the Esperanza brothers. Last year, they donated cash incentive for the best slogan contest, the winner was; “San Esteban, Ili ti Namnama.”
In behalf of the Esperanza’s, Mayor Armando V. Abad and Vice Mayor Norman V. Mendoza handed the cash incentive to the parents of Alfred during the recess of the regular session of the Sangguniang Bayan last January 12, 2004 at the newly air-conditioned session hall at the annex building of our town hall.
In the other “pakulo”, our Website also donated cash gifts to the best performing folk dancers and an instant raffle contest during the Coronation Night last December 26, 2003.
