DSWD Assistance for Indigent

Our municipal Department of Social Welfare and Developments Office (DSWDO) is distributing monetary support to our local indigents through the program of the Assistance in Crisis Situation (AICS) of our Local Government Unit (LGU).

According to our municipal DSWD officer Mrs. Rosa Guarte, our municipal mayor Armando V. Abad will approve their office-evaluated applicants, in which her office will process applications. In order to avail such assistance, applicants must secure certificate of eligibility from the office of his or her barangay captain for the purpose of being a qualified indigent of the community.

The other services extended to applicants were relief assistance, housing assistance, food for work, cash for work, transportation assistance, food incentives, food for growth, food yielding, skills training, job placement and core shelter assistance. Through the AICS program each recipient is awarded the amount ranging from Php 500 to Php 2,000 depending on the needs of the indigent and availability of funds.
