Validation and Registration of Voters COMELEC

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is concurrently accepting registration of new voters and validations of former registered voters. It also accepts applications for registration of absentee voters from our Oversea Foreign Workers (OFW) and dual citizenship immigrants who wish to vote this coming May election 2004.

According to our COMELEC officer Gaudelia Agpalo and her assistant Elverita Calibuso, validation machines from the main office in Manila are still not available in their office for such validation of those who are already registered voters. They said that it is only in Metro Manila or perhaps these new paraphernalia only benefit highly urbanized towns or cities.

The said registration is scheduled August 1 until September 30, 2003 for absentee voters while new voters will have up to October 31, 2003 to register.
