Barangay Poblacion
April 21, 22 & 23, 2005

     On the 21st is a Bingo sa Barangay organized by Kagawad Linda Mendoza. On the 22nd is Ms. Summer Gay organized by Kagawad Sonny Gines There were six candidates.

     The winners are;
Johnny “Jane” Balonzo of San Pablo - Miss Gay Poblacion
Melanio “Siding” Bermejo, Jr. of Apatot/Poblacion - 1st Runner-up
Plaridel “Cindy” Abad of Apatot - 3rd Runner-up who bested 3 other candidates.

     Chairman of the Board of Judges is Dr. Francisco Lopez, Ph.D.an instructor at Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College. Other judges are Mrs. Marivic Ramirez Meram, Didi Europa Obille, Marites Taguiam Valdez and balikbayan from Australia; Mrs Zeny Esperanza Bouns.

     On the 23rd is the Coronation Night of young ladies. Members of the Royal Court are Queen
Crisanta Mae, daughter of Ferdie & Ely Vergara
1st Princess Christine Espiritu, daughter of Rodolfo & Nelly Espiritu
2nd Princess is Maria Liwa Ong, daughter of Walter & Beatriz Ong of Sitio Lipit.

     Crowning Guest is Antonio “Boy” V. Racela, Jr.. Brgy. Poblacion adopted April 21 as its fiesta because this is in commemoration to the date when San Esteban was assigned as the provisional seat of government during the Japanese occupation. This is only their 3rd successive year to celebrate a barangay fiesta ever since. All of the events were done at the barangay plaza.
