Barangay Cappa–cappa Fiesta
May 4 & 5, 2005

     The barangay fiesta of Cappa Cappa was also a simple one. They held a basketball tournament and on May 4 they had the SK night. On May 5 was the Miss Gay Cappa Cappa Quest 2005 produced and directed by Arthur Barrey. There were 10 contestants 3 of whom came from Santiago and Sta, Maria. The major prizes were donated by the Europa Family represented by Dr. Emil Europa, Aydes Europa and Joey Europa Magallon. The Crowning and Guest Speaker was Mayor Armando Abad and partner SBM Florence Ramirez. Also present were Vice Mayor Norman Mendoza, SBM Balmaceda, Tabila and Jose Eleccion. The Board of Judges were Chairman Mark Jiro Racela (son of Boy Racela), SBM Rio Vergara, Louie Cabigon, Remedios Caceres (1st Runner up Ms. San Esteban) & Joey E. Magallon. The winners were Jumar Ea (son of Mario & Juliet Ea of San Nicolas, Johnny “Jane” Balonzo (of San Pablo and winner of Miss Gay Poblacion) and Romy Cabasal ( son of Romulo Cabasal of Villa Quirino). As usual, the show was a crowd drawer as the audience came from the neighboring barangays and as far from Bateria. The show ended in an orderly manner, thanks to the security provided by SPO4 Henry Eleccion, the new acting chief of police of the San Esteban PNP.
